tatraikāgraṁ manaḥ kṛitvā yata-chittendriya-kriyaḥ upaviśhyāsane yuñjyād yogam ātma-viśhuddhaye
Meaning
Seated there, making the mind one-pointed and controlling the activities of the mind and senses, one should practice yoga for self-purification.
The purpose of meditation is clearly stated: self-purification. One-pointed focus (ekagrata) is the method. This isn't about forcing the mind but gently training it to stay focused. Regular practice gradually purifies the mind of its habitual agitations and reveals its natural clarity.
Strength Reflection
"I practice focusing my mind, knowing that concentration purifies and clarifies."
Devotional Surrender
Krishna, help me gather my scattered mind and direct it toward You alone.
