Chapter 5 • Verse 18

विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि। शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः॥

vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini śhuni chaiva śhva-pāke cha paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśhinaḥ

Meaning

The wise see with equal vision a learned and humble Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and an outcaste.

This revolutionary verse proclaims spiritual democracy. The wise see the same divine essence in all beings — regardless of social status, species, or external qualities. This equal vision dissolves all prejudice and discrimination.

Strength Reflection

"I practice seeing the divine essence equally in all beings, regardless of external differences."

Devotional Surrender

Krishna, expand my vision until I see You dwelling equally in all Your creation.
