Chapter 4 • Verse 7
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत। अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥
yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛijāmy aham
Meaning
Whenever righteousness declines and unrighteousness rises, O Bharata, at that time I manifest Myself.
When darkness rises, light appears. The Divine intervenes at crucial moments in cosmic history. This is the promise that good will never be permanently defeated.
