Chapter 3 • Verse 16
एवं प्रवर्तितं चक्रं नानुवर्तयतीह यः। अघायुरिन्द्रियारामो मोघं पार्थ स जीवति॥
evaṁ pravartitaṁ chakraṁ nānuvartayatīha yaḥ aghāyur indriyārāmo moghaṁ pārtha sa jīvati
Meaning
One who does not follow this established cycle of sacrifice, living a life of sin and sense pleasure, lives in vain, O Partha.
To refuse participation in the cosmic order while enjoying its benefits is to live in vain. We cannot opt out of giving while continuing to receive.

"I refuse to live a meaningless life of pure consumption. I participate and contribute."

Lord, save me from a futile existence. Let me participate meaningfully in Your cosmic dance.
