यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चितः। इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः॥

yatato hy api kaunteya puruṣhasya vipaśhchitaḥ indriyāṇi pramāthīni haranti prasabhaṁ manaḥ

Meaning

O son of Kunti, the turbulent senses can forcibly carry away the mind of even a discerning person who is striving for self-control.

Even the wisest and most disciplined can be overpowered by the senses. This is a warning against complacency. Vigilance must be constant.

Strength Reflection

"I remain vigilant knowing that even the wise can be overpowered by senses."

Devotional Surrender

O Kaunteya's Lord, protect me from the powerful force of the senses.
