Chapter 2 • Verse 60
यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चितः। इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः॥
yatato hy api kaunteya puruṣhasya vipaśhchitaḥ indriyāṇi pramāthīni haranti prasabhaṁ manaḥ
Meaning
O son of Kunti, the turbulent senses can forcibly carry away the mind of even a discerning person who is striving for self-control.
Even the wisest and most disciplined can be overpowered by the senses. This is a warning against complacency. Vigilance must be constant.
