Chapter 2 • Verse 47
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
karmaṇy evādhikāras te mā phaleṣhu kadāchana mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo 'stv akarmaṇi
Meaning
You have the right to perform your duty, but never to the fruits of your action. Never consider yourself the cause of results, nor be attached to inaction.
This is the most famous verse of the Gita. Focus on giving your best effort. Stop obsessing over outcomes. Your job is the work; results are beyond your control.
Strength Reflection
"Today, I will perform my duties with full commitment without being attached to the results."
Devotional Surrender
O Krishna, help me surrender the fruits of my actions to You. Let me work as Your instrument.
