Chapter 2 • Verse 39

एषा तेऽभिहिता साङ्ख्ये बुद्धिर्योगे त्विमां शृणु। बुद्ध्या युक्तो यया पार्थ कर्मबन्धं प्रहास्यसि॥

eṣhā te 'bhihitā sānkhye buddhir yoge tvimāṁ śhṛiṇu buddhyā yukto yayā pārtha karma-bandhaṁ prahāsyasi

Meaning

I have explained to you the analytical knowledge of Sankhya. Now listen to the wisdom of Yoga, by which you can free yourself from the bondage of action.

Krishna transitions from philosophy (Sankhya) to practical yoga. Knowledge alone is not enough - we need practical methods to apply it. Action with wisdom is yoga.

Strength Reflection

"I seek both wisdom and practical methods, uniting knowledge with action."

Devotional Surrender

O Teacher, continue to instruct me. Show me how to act without creating bondage.
