Chapter 1 • Verse 3

पश्यैतां पाण्डुपुत्राणामाचार्य महतीं चमूम्। व्यूढां द्रुपदपुत्रेण तव शिष्येण धीमता॥

paśhyaitāṁ pāṇḍu-putrāṇām āchārya mahatīṁ chamūm vyūḍhāṁ drupada-putreṇa tava śhiṣhyeṇa dhīmatā

Meaning

Behold, O teacher, this mighty army of the sons of Pandu, arrayed by your intelligent disciple, the son of Drupada.

Duryodhana tries to provoke Drona by reminding him that the opposing army is led by Dhristadyumna, Drona's own student. Life often presents us with situations where our own teachings or actions return to challenge us.

Strength Reflection

"I accept that my actions and teachings will have consequences that may one day return to me."

Devotional Surrender

Krishna, help me act with integrity so that I never fear the consequences of my own actions.
