Chapter 1 • Verse 4
अत्र शूरा महेष्वासा भीमार्जुनसमा युधि। युयुधानो विराटश्च द्रुपदश्च महारथः॥
atra śhūrā maheṣhvāsā bhīmārjuna-samā yudhi yuyudhāno virāṭaśhcha drupadaśhcha mahā-rathaḥ
Meaning
Here are heroes, mighty archers, equal in battle to Bhima and Arjuna: Yuyudhana, Virata, and Drupada, the great warrior.
Duryodhana lists the great warriors on the Pandava side, revealing his anxiety. When we focus obsessively on our competition or enemies, we feed our own fear and insecurity.
Strength Reflection
"I will focus on my own strengths rather than obsessing over the abilities of my competitors."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, free me from the anxiety of comparison. Let me trust in the path You have set for me.
