asaṁyatātmanā yogo duṣhprāpa iti me matiḥ vaśhyātmanā tu yatatā śhakyo 'vāptum upāyataḥ
Meaning
In My view, yoga is difficult to attain for one of uncontrolled mind. But it is attainable through proper means by one who strives with a controlled mind.
Krishna is realistic: without self-control, yoga remains distant. But he's also encouraging: with effort and proper methods, it's achievable. The key insight is that some self-control is needed to begin, and practice builds more control. It's a gradual, bootstrap process. The 'proper means' include everything Krishna has been teaching.
Strength Reflection
"I use proper methods and consistent effort, knowing yoga is achievable through right practice."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord, guide me to the proper methods and give me strength to persist in practice.
