Chapter 5 • Verse 28
यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिर्मुनिर्मोक्षपरायणः। विगतेच्छाभयक्रोधो यः सदा मुक्त एव सः॥
yatendriya-mano-buddhir munir mokṣha-parāyaṇaḥ vigatechchhā-bhaya-krodho yaḥ sadā mukta eva saḥ
Meaning
...with senses, mind, and intellect controlled, the sage intent on liberation, devoid of desire, fear, and anger — such a one is forever free.
This verse completes the meditation description. When senses, mind, and intellect are mastered, when the goal is liberation, when desire, fear, and anger have departed — that person is already liberated, even while living.
Strength Reflection
"I work to master my senses, mind, and intellect, releasing desire, fear, and anger."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, free me from desire, fear, and anger. Let me know the liberation that is already mine.
