Chapter 4 • Verse 31

यज्ञशिष्टामृतभुजो यान्ति ब्रह्म सनातनम्। नायं लोकोऽस्त्ययज्ञस्य कुतोऽन्यः कुरुसत्तम॥

yajña-śhiṣhṭāmṛita-bhujo yānti brahma sanātanam nāyaṁ loko 'sty ayajñasya kuto 'nyaḥ kuru-sattama

Meaning

Those who eat the nectar remnants of sacrifice attain eternal Brahman. Without sacrifice, one cannot be happy even in this world — what then of the next, O best of the Kurus?

Sacrifice brings blessings both here and hereafter. Without some form of sacrifice, even worldly happiness is impossible. Giving leads to receiving.

Strength Reflection

"I practice sacrifice knowing it brings blessings in this life and beyond."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, let me live a life of offering, receiving Your sacred remnants.
