Chapter 4 • Verse 20

त्यक्त्वा कर्मफलासङ्गं नित्यतृप्तो निराश्रयः। कर्मण्यभिप्रवृत्तोऽपि नैव किञ्चित्करोति सः॥

tyaktvā karma-phalāsaṅgaṁ nitya-tṛipto nirāśhrayaḥ karmaṇy abhipravṛitto 'pi naiva kiñchit karoti saḥ

Meaning

Having abandoned attachment to the fruits of action, ever satisfied, depending on nothing — though engaged in action, such a person does nothing at all.

Complete detachment from results, self-sufficient, needing nothing. Such a person acts yet creates no karma. Action without karmic consequence - this is the goal.

Strength Reflection

"I work toward that state where action no longer binds me."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, bring me to that freedom where I act yet remain untouched.
