Chapter 2 • Verse 8

न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद्यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम्। अवाप्य भूमावसपत्नमृद्धं राज्यं सुराणामपि चाधिपत्यम्॥

na hi prapaśhyāmi mamāpanudyād yach-chhokam uchchhoṣhaṇam indriyāṇām avāpya bhūmāv asapatnam ṛiddhaṁ rājyaṁ surāṇām api chādhipatyam

Meaning

I see nothing that can remove this grief which is drying up my senses, even if I were to attain unrivaled and prosperous kingdom on earth, or even sovereignty over the gods.

Arjuna realizes no external achievement can cure inner grief. This is profound insight - no kingdom, no success, no power can fill the void of a troubled soul. Only inner transformation brings peace.

Strength Reflection

"I seek inner peace knowing that external achievements alone cannot heal my deepest struggles."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, no worldly gain can give me what I truly seek. Only You can remove the grief of my soul.
