Chapter 2 • Verse 71
विहाय कामान्यः सर्वान्पुमांश्चरति निःस्पृहः। निर्ममो निरहङ्कारः स शान्तिमधिगच्छति॥
vihāya kāmān yaḥ sarvān pumāṁśh charati niḥspṛihaḥ nirmamo nirahankāraḥ sa śhāntim adhigachchhati
Meaning
One who gives up all selfish desires, and lives free from longing, free from 'mine' and 'ego,' attains peace.
Three things to release: desires, possessiveness ('mine'), and ego ('I'). With these gone, peace is natural. These three are the root of all restlessness.
Strength Reflection
"I release attachment to desires, possessions, and ego-identity to find true peace."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, free me from 'I', 'me', and 'mine'. In this emptiness, fill me with Your peace.
