Chapter 2 • Verse 64

रागद्वेषवियुक्तैस्तु विषयानिन्द्रियैश्चरन्। आत्मवश्यैर्विधेयात्मा प्रसादमधिगच्छति॥

rāga-dveṣha-viyuktais tu viṣhayān indriyaiśh charan ātma-vaśhyair vidheyātmā prasādam adhigachchhati

Meaning

But one who controls the mind and moves among sense objects with senses freed from attachment and aversion attains divine grace and inner peace.

The disciplined person can engage with the world without being trapped by attraction or aversion. This is not withdrawal but mastery - participating in life without bondage.
