Chapter 2 • Verse 3
क्लैब्यं मा स्म गमः पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते। क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप॥
klaibyaṁ mā sma gamaḥ pārtha naitat tvayyupapadyate kṣhudraṁ hṛidaya-daurbalyaṁ tyaktvottiṣhṭha parantapa
Meaning
Do not yield to unmanliness, O Partha. It does not befit you. Cast off this petty weakness of heart and arise, O scorcher of enemies!
Krishna commands Arjuna to reject weakness. The word 'klaibyam' means impotence of will. Our potential remains dormant when we surrender to weakness. Rise! is the eternal call.
Strength Reflection
"I reject the comfortable identity of weakness. I choose to rise and become who I am meant to be."
Devotional Surrender
O Parantapa, burn away my weakness with the fire of Your divine call. Help me arise!
