Chapter 2 • Verse 28
अव्यक्तादीनि भूतानि व्यक्तमध्यानि भारत। अव्यक्तनिधनान्येव तत्र का परिदेवना॥
avyaktādīni bhūtāni vyakta-madhyāni bhārata avyakta-nidhanāny eva tatra kā paridevanā
Meaning
All beings are unmanifest before birth, manifest between birth and death, and unmanifest again after death. What is there to grieve about?
Before birth we existed in unmanifest form, after death we return to unmanifest form. This visible life is just a brief display. Why lament the hidden becoming hidden again?
Strength Reflection
"This visible life is a brief appearance of something eternal. I appreciate it without clinging."
Devotional Surrender
O Bharata, help me see this life as a precious manifestation of the eternal, to be lived fully without fear.
