अन्तवन्त इमे देहा नित्यस्योक्ताः शरीरिणः। अनाशिनोऽप्रमेयस्य तस्माद्युध्यस्व भारत॥
antavanta ime dehā nityasyoktāḥ śharīriṇaḥ anāśhino 'prameyasya tasmād yudhyasva bhārata
Meaning
Only the material body of the eternal, indestructible, and immeasurable soul is subject to destruction. Therefore, fight, O Arjuna!
Only the body dies, not the soul. With this understanding, fight! This is Krishna's first clear instruction - armed with knowledge of the eternal soul, there is no reason to avoid duty.
