Chapter 2 • Verse 17
अविनाशि तु तद्विद्धि येन सर्वमिदं ततम्। विनाशमव्ययस्यास्य न कश्चित्कर्तुमर्हति॥
avināśhi tu tad viddhi yena sarvam idaṁ tatam vināśham avyayasyāsya na kaśhchit kartum arhati
Meaning
Know that which pervades the entire body is indestructible. No one can destroy the imperishable soul.
The soul pervades the body but is not limited to it. It cannot be destroyed by any force. Understanding this removes fear - what can anyone do to the eternal soul?
