Chapter 2 • Verse 13

देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा। तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति॥

dehino 'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā tathā dehāntara-prāptir dhīras tatra na muhyati

Meaning

Just as the soul passes through childhood, youth, and old age in this body, so too does it pass to another body. The wise are not confused by this.

Death is compared to growing older - a natural transition. Just as we don't mourn our childhood when we become adults, we need not mourn when the soul transitions to a new body.

Strength Reflection

"I see change and transition as natural, not as loss. Growth requires letting go of previous forms."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, help me embrace all transitions in life with the serenity of one who knows the soul is eternal.
