Chapter 1 • Verse 6

युधामन्युश्च विक्रान्त उत्तमौजाश्च वीर्यवान्। सौभद्रो द्रौपदेयाश्च सर्व एव महारथाः॥

yudhāmanyuśhcha vikrānta uttamaujāśhcha vīryavān saubhadro draupadeyāśhcha sarva eva mahā-rathāḥ

Meaning

The courageous Yudhamanyu, the valiant Uttamauja, the son of Subhadra, and the sons of Draupadi — all are great warriors.

Duryodhana's catalog of enemies shows his fearful state of mind. True courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act despite recognizing challenges.

Strength Reflection

"I acknowledge the challenges before me, but I will not let fear paralyze my action."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, let my awareness of challenges drive me to seek Your protection, not to flee in fear.
