Chapter 1 • Verse 47

सञ्जय उवाच। एवमुक्त्वार्जुनः सङ्ख्ये रथोपस्थ उपाविशत्। विसृज्य सशरं चापं शोकसंविग्नमानसः॥

sañjaya uvācha evam uktvārjunaḥ saṅkhye rathopastha upāviśhat visṛijya sa-śharaṁ chāpaṁ śhoka-saṁvigna-mānasaḥ

Meaning

Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus on the battlefield, Arjuna cast aside his bow and arrows, and sat down on the chariot, his mind overwhelmed with grief.

The great warrior sits down, defeated not by an enemy but by his own mind. This is the human condition — our greatest battles are internal. Yet this collapse becomes the doorway to divine wisdom in the chapters to come.

Strength Reflection

"I accept that my lowest moments can become doorways to my greatest transformation."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, when I collapse under the weight of my confusion, use that moment to pour Your wisdom into my emptied heart.
