Chapter 1 • Verse 27

श्वशुरान्सुहृदश्चैव सेनयोरुभयोरपि। तान्समीक्ष्य स कौन्तेयः सर्वान्बन्धूनवस्थितान्॥

śhvaśhurān suhṛidaśh chaiva senayor ubhayor api tān samīkṣhya sa kaunteyaḥ sarvān bandhūn avasthitān

Meaning

He also saw fathers-in-law and well-wishers in both armies. Seeing all his kinsmen arrayed there.

Arjuna sees relatives on both sides — a reminder that in most conflicts, there are loved ones everywhere. True wisdom sees the humanity in all, even in conflict.
