Chapter 9 • Verse 13

महात्मानस्तु मां पार्थ दैवीं प्रकृतिमाश्रिताः। भजन्त्यनन्यमनसो ज्ञात्वा भूतादिमव्ययम्॥

mahātmānas tu māṁ pārtha daivīṁ prakṛitim āśhritāḥ bhajanty ananya-manaso jñātvā bhūtādim avyayam

Meaning

But great souls, O Arjuna, taking shelter of the divine nature, worship Me with undivided minds, knowing Me as the imperishable origin of all beings.

Great souls (mahatmas) recognize the Divine and worship with single-pointed devotion. They are established in divine nature (sattva), not demonic nature. Their minds don't wander because they've found the source. Knowing Krishna as the eternal origin, they need seek nothing else.

Strength Reflection

"I aspire to be a mahatma — one who recognizes the Divine and worships with undivided heart."

Devotional Surrender

O imperishable Lord, origin of all, I worship You with my whole undivided being.
