मोघाशा मोघकर्माणो मोघज्ञाना विचेतसः। राक्षसीमासुरीं चैव प्रकृतिं मोहिनीं श्रिताः॥
moghāśhā mogha-karmāṇo mogha-jñānā vichetasaḥ rākṣhasīm āsurīṁ chaiva prakṛitiṁ mohinīṁ śhritāḥ
Meaning
Their hopes are vain, their actions are vain, their knowledge is vain. Devoid of discrimination, they embrace demonic and deluding nature.
Those who dismiss the Divine have hopes, actions, and knowledge that lead nowhere. They are swayed by tamasic and rajasic energies that create only delusion. Without recognizing the Divine source, all spiritual efforts become fruitless, like trying to water a plant by spraying its leaves instead of its roots.
Strength Reflection
"I ensure my efforts bear fruit by rooting them in divine recognition."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, preserve me from vain hopes and actions. Let all I do be rooted in You.
