Chapter 9 • Verse 11

अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्। परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्॥

avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣhīṁ tanum āśhritam paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśhvaram

Meaning

Fools disregard Me when I appear in human form, not knowing My supreme nature as the Lord of all beings.

When the Divine appears in human form, the foolish see only the human. They miss the infinite contained in the finite. This is perhaps the greatest spiritual blindness — failing to recognize divinity when it stands before you. The wise see through the form to the formless.

Strength Reflection

"I train myself to see divinity in human form, not dismissing it due to outer appearance."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, never let me be so foolish as to disregard Your presence in any form.
