सहस्रयुगपर्यन्तमहर्यद्ब्रह्मणो विदुः। रात्रिं युगसहस्रान्तां तेऽहोरात्रविदो जनाः॥
sahasra-yuga-paryantam ahar yad brahmaṇo viduḥ rātriṁ yuga-sahasrāntāṁ te 'ho-rātra-vido janāḥ
Meaning
Those who know that Brahma's day lasts a thousand yugas and his night also lasts a thousand yugas — they understand day and night.
Krishna reveals cosmic time scales. One day of Brahma equals 4.32 billion human years, as does his night. These vast cycles put our human concerns in perspective. What seems permanent to us is momentary in cosmic time. Only the eternal beyond all cycles is truly stable.
Strength Reflection
"I maintain perspective by remembering that cosmic time dwarfs my temporary concerns."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, beyond all cycles of time, You are the eternal constant. In You I find true stability.
