Chapter 8 • Verse 16

आब्रह्मभुवनाल्लोकाः पुनरावर्तिनोऽर्जुन। मामुपेत्य तु कौन्तेय पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते॥

ā-brahma-bhuvanāl lokāḥ punar āvartino 'rjuna mām upetya tu kaunteya punar janma na vidyate

Meaning

From the highest realm of Brahma downward, all worlds are subject to return, O Arjuna. But one who reaches Me is never born again.

Even the highest heavens are temporary — eventually one must return. Only reaching Krishna is final liberation. This puts all worldly and otherworldly achievements in perspective. Heaven itself is not the goal. Only God is the eternal destination where there is no return to limitation.

Strength Reflection

"I set my goal not on temporary heavens but on eternal union with the Divine."

Devotional Surrender

O Krishna, You alone are my final destination. Everything else is a temporary stop.
