Chapter 6 • Verse 7

जितात्मनः प्रशान्तस्य परमात्मा समाहितः। शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु तथा मानापमानयोः॥

jitātmanaḥ praśhāntasya paramātmā samāhitaḥ śhītoṣhṇa-sukha-duḥkheṣhu tathā mānāpamānayoḥ

Meaning

For one who has conquered the mind, the Supreme Self is already reached in peace. Such a person remains balanced in cold and heat, pleasure and pain, honor and dishonor.

When the mind is mastered, you naturally connect with your deepest Self. This connection brings equanimity — you're no longer tossed about by life's dualities. Weather changes, experiences vary, people praise and criticize — but your center remains stable. This is not numbness but profound stability.

Strength Reflection

"I cultivate inner stability that remains steady regardless of external circumstances."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, establish me in that peace which is unshaken by life's inevitable ups and downs.
