Chapter 5 • Verse 6
सन्न्यासस्तु महाबाहो दुःखमाप्तुमयोगतः। योगयुक्तो मुनिर्ब्रह्म नचिरेणाधिगच्छति॥
sannyāsas tu mahā-bāho duḥkham āptum ayogataḥ yoga-yukto munir brahma na chireṇādhigachchhati
Meaning
O mighty-armed Arjuna, renunciation is difficult to attain without the yoga of action. The sage who is devoted to yoga quickly attains Brahman.
Trying to renounce without first purifying the mind through action often leads to frustration. Work done with devotion naturally purifies the heart and prepares it for higher realization. Actions done right become a ladder to transcendence.
Strength Reflection
"I use my daily work as a means to purify my mind and prepare for higher understanding."
Devotional Surrender
Krishna, let my work be the fire that burns away my impurities and brings me closer to You.
