Chapter 3 • Verse 6

कर्मेन्द्रियाणि संयम्य य आस्ते मनसा स्मरन्। इन्द्रियार्थान्विमूढात्मा मिथ्याचारः स उच्यते॥

karmendriyāṇi saṁyamya ya āste manasā smaran indriyārthān vimūḍhātmā mithyāchāraḥ sa uchyate

Meaning

One who restrains the organs of action but mentally dwells on sense objects is deluded and is called a hypocrite.

External restraint with internal craving is hypocrisy. What matters is where your mind dwells, not just what your body does. Inner and outer must align.

Strength Reflection

"I align my inner thoughts with my outer actions, avoiding the trap of hypocrisy."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, purify both my actions and my thoughts. Let me be authentic within and without.
