Chapter 3 • Verse 43
एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना। जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम्॥
evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā saṁstabhyātmānam ātmanā jahi śhatruṁ mahā-bāho kāma-rūpaṁ durāsadam
Meaning
Thus knowing the soul to be superior to the intellect, steady the self by the self. O mighty-armed one, slay the enemy in the form of desire, which is difficult to overcome.
Know the soul's supremacy, stabilize yourself in that identity, and from there conquer desire. It's difficult but possible when fighting from the highest ground of soul-awareness.
