Chapter 3 • Verse 33
सदृशं चेष्टते स्वस्याः प्रकृतेर्ज्ञानवानपि। प्रकृतिं यान्ति भूतानि निग्रहः किं करिष्यति॥
sadṛiśhaṁ cheṣhṭate svasyāḥ prakṛiter jñānavān api prakṛitiṁ yānti bhūtāni nigrahaḥ kiṁ kariṣhyati
Meaning
Even a person of knowledge acts according to their own nature. All beings follow their nature. What can repression accomplish?
Everyone acts according to nature. Forced repression doesn't work long-term. Real change comes through understanding and gradual transformation, not suppression.

"I work with my nature rather than against it, transforming gradually through understanding."

Lord, help me transform my nature from within rather than merely suppressing it.
