Chapter 3 • Verse 22
न मे पार्थास्ति कर्तव्यं त्रिषु लोकेषु किञ्चन। नानवाप्तमवाप्तव्यं वर्त एव च कर्मणि॥
na me pārthāsti kartavyaṁ triṣhu lokeṣhu kiñchana nānavāptam avāptavyaṁ varta eva cha karmaṇi
Meaning
O Partha, there is nothing in the three worlds that I need to do, nothing left for Me to attain. Yet I continue to act.
Krishna, the Supreme, has nothing to accomplish yet continues to act. Action is not just for gaining something - it is a mode of being, of contribution, of expression.
