Chapter 2 • Verse 69
या निशा सर्वभूतानां तस्यां जागर्ति संयमी। यस्यां जाग्रति भूतानि सा निशा पश्यतो मुनेः॥
yā niśhā sarva-bhūtānāṁ tasyāṁ jāgarti saṁyamī yasyāṁ jāgrati bhūtāni sā niśhā paśhyato muneḥ
Meaning
What is night for all beings is the time of awakening for the self-controlled; and the time when all beings are awake is night for the seeing sage.
The sage and ordinary people live in opposite realities. What excites the worldly is meaningless to the wise; what fulfills the sage is invisible to the worldly. Choose which world you want to live in.
