Chapter 2 • Verse 31
स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि। धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयोऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते॥
sva-dharmam api chāvekṣhya na vikampitum arhasi dharmyāddhi yuddhāch chhreyo 'nyat kṣhatriyasya na vidyate
Meaning
Considering your own duty as a warrior, you should not waver. For a warrior, there is nothing better than a righteous war.
Krishna shifts from philosophy to duty. Arjuna is a warrior - fighting for righteousness is his dharma. Each person has their own dharma. Fulfilling it is the path to growth.
