Chapter 2 • Verse 1

सञ्जय उवाच। तं तथा कृपयाविष्टमश्रुपूर्णाकुलेक्षणम्। विषीदन्तमिदं वाक्यमुवाच मधुसूदनः॥

sañjaya uvācha taṁ tathā kṛipayāviṣhṭam aśhru-pūrṇākulekṣhaṇam viṣhīdantam idaṁ vākyam uvācha madhusūdanaḥ

Meaning

Sanjaya said: To him who was thus overcome with pity, whose eyes were filled with tears and troubled, and who was despairing, Madhusudana spoke these words.

Krishna sees Arjuna in complete breakdown - tearful, confused, despairing. Yet He does not judge or abandon him. This is the moment before transformation. Our lowest points often precede our greatest awakenings.

Strength Reflection

"I accept that breakdowns can become breakthroughs when I remain open to guidance."

Devotional Surrender

O Madhusudana, in my moments of despair, speak to me as You spoke to Arjuna.
