Chapter 18 • Verse 13
पञ्चैतानि महाबाहो कारणानि निबोध मे। साङ्ख्ये कृतान्ते प्रोक्तानि सिद्धये सर्वकर्मणाम्॥
pañchaitāni mahā-bāho kāraṇāni nibodha me sāṅkhye kṛitānte proktāni siddhaye sarva-karmaṇām
Meaning
Learn from Me, O mighty-armed one, these five causes for the accomplishment of all action, as declared in the Sankhya teaching.
Krishna teaches the five factors required for any action's accomplishment, as per the analytical Sankhya philosophy. Understanding these helps dissolve the false sense of personal doership.
