Chapter 18 • Verse 14
अधिष्ठानं तथा कर्ता करणं च पृथग्विधम्। विविधाश्च पृथक्चेष्टा दैवं चैवात्र पञ्चमम्॥
adhiṣhṭhānaṁ tathā kartā karaṇaṁ cha pṛithag-vidham vividhāśh cha pṛithak cheṣhṭā daivaṁ chaivātra pañchamam
Meaning
The seat of action (body), the doer (ego), the various instruments (senses), the many different kinds of efforts, and destiny as the fifth.
The five factors: (1) body/basis, (2) doer/ego, (3) instruments/senses, (4) various efforts, (5) destiny/divine will. All five must combine for any action. The ego alone doesn't accomplish anything.

"I see action arising from five factors, not from my ego alone."

O Lord, help me see that You as destiny are the fifth factor in all action.
