Chapter 16 • Verse 9
एतां दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य नष्टात्मानोऽल्पबुद्धयः। प्रभवन्त्युग्रकर्माणः क्षयाय जगतोऽहिताः॥
etāṁ dṛiṣhṭim avaṣhṭabhya naṣhṭātmāno 'lpa-buddhayaḥ prabhavanty ugra-karmāṇaḥ kṣhayāya jagato 'hitāḥ
Meaning
Holding this view, these ruined souls of small intellect and cruel deeds arise as enemies of the world for its destruction.
Embracing this nihilistic worldview, people of small understanding and lost souls become cruel, destructive forces. They harm the world because they see no meaning or consequence to their actions.
