Chapter 13 • Verse 4
तत्क्षेत्रं यच्च यादृक्च यद्विकारि यतश्च यत्। स च यो यत्प्रभावश्च तत्समासेन मे शृणु॥
tat kṣhetraṁ yach cha yādṛik cha yad-vikāri yataśh cha yat sa cha yo yat-prabhāvaśh cha tat samāsena me śhṛiṇu
Meaning
Hear from Me briefly what that field is, what its nature is, what its modifications are, from what it arises, who the knower is, and what his powers are.
Krishna promises to explain: (1) what the field is, (2) its nature, (3) its changes, (4) its origin, (5) who the knower is, and (6) the knower's powers. These six aspects cover complete knowledge of matter and spirit.
