Chapter 13 • Verse 5
ऋषिभिर्बहुधा गीतं छन्दोभिर्विविधैः पृथक्। ब्रह्मसूत्रपदैश्चैव हेतुमद्भिर्विनिश्चितैः॥
ṛiṣhibhir bahudhā gītaṁ chhandobhir vividhaiḥ pṛithak brahma-sūtra-padaiśh chaiva hetumadbhir viniśhchitaiḥ
Meaning
This knowledge has been sung by sages in various ways, in various Vedic hymns, and especially in the well-reasoned conclusions of the Brahma Sutras.
Krishna acknowledges that many sages have taught this knowledge through Vedic hymns and philosophical texts like the Brahma Sutras. The Gita synthesizes this wisdom for practical application.
