Chapter 13 • Verse 3
क्षेत्रज्ञं चापि मां विद्धि सर्वक्षेत्रेषु भारत। क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञयोर्ज्ञानं यत्तज्ज्ञानं मतं मम॥
kṣhetra-jñaṁ chāpi māṁ viddhi sarva-kṣhetreṣhu bhārata kṣhetra-kṣhetra-jñayor jñānaṁ yat taj jñānaṁ mataṁ mama
Meaning
Know Me also as the knower in all fields, O Bharata. The knowledge of both the field and the knower — that I consider true knowledge.
A profound revelation: Krishna is the supreme knower present in all bodies. The individual soul knows its own body; God knows all bodies. True knowledge is understanding both the field (matter) and its knower (spirit).
