Chapter 11 • Verse 41

सखेति मत्वा प्रसभं यदुक्तं हे कृष्ण हे यादव हे सखेति। अजानता महिमानं तवेदं मया प्रमादात्प्रणयेन वापि॥

sakheti matvā prasabhaṁ yad uktaṁ he kṛiṣhṇa he yādava he sakheti ajānatā mahimānaṁ tavedaṁ mayā pramādāt praṇayena vāpi

Meaning

Whatever I have rashly said, thinking You to be merely a friend, calling You 'Hey Krishna, Hey Yadava, Hey Friend' — not knowing this glory of Yours, out of negligence or out of love...

Arjuna apologizes for past casualness. He had treated Krishna as just a friend — 'Hey Krishna!' — not knowing His true glory. Whether from negligence or affection, the informality now seems inappropriate after this cosmic vision.

Strength Reflection

"After seeing true glory, past casualness with the Divine seems incomplete."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, forgive my casual address, born of ignorance or love. Now I know better.
