Chapter 11 • Verse 2

भवाप्ययौ हि भूतानां श्रुतौ विस्तरशो मया। त्वत्तः कमलपत्राक्ष माहात्म्यमपि चाव्ययम्॥

bhavāpyayau hi bhūtānāṁ śhrutau vistaraśho mayā tvattaḥ kamala-patrākṣha māhātmyam api chāvyayam

Meaning

O lotus-eyed one, I have heard from You in detail about the origin and dissolution of beings, as well as Your imperishable glories.

Arjuna has heard about creation and dissolution from Krishna's own lips, along with His eternal glories. The teaching has sunk in. Now he wants to see what he has heard described. Knowledge must lead to vision.

Strength Reflection

"Having heard divine truth, I aspire to see it directly."

Devotional Surrender

O lotus-eyed Lord, I have heard Your glories. Now let me see.
