Chapter 1 • Verse 9
अन्ये च बहवः शूरा मदर्थे त्यक्तजीविताः। नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणाः सर्वे युद्धविशारदाः॥
anye cha bahavaḥ śhūrā mad-arthe tyakta-jīvitāḥ nānā-śhastra-praharaṇāḥ sarve yuddha-viśhāradāḥ
Meaning
And many other heroes who are prepared to give up their lives for my sake, armed with various weapons, all skilled in warfare.
Duryodhana boasts of warriors willing to die for him. True leadership is not measured by those who will die for you, but by those whose lives you enrich and protect.
