Chapter 1 • Verse 10
अपर्याप्तं तदस्माकं बलं भीष्माभिरक्षितम्। पर्याप्तं त्विदमेतेषां बलं भीमाभिरक्षितम्॥
aparyāptaṁ tad asmākaṁ balaṁ bhīṣhmābhirakṣhitam paryāptaṁ tvidam eteṣhāṁ balaṁ bhīmābhirakṣhitam
Meaning
Our army, protected by Bhishma, is unlimited, whereas theirs, guarded by Bhima, is limited.
Duryodhana tries to convince himself of his strength, yet his constant comparisons betray his insecurity. Confidence built on comparison is always fragile. True confidence rests in purpose and values.
Strength Reflection
"My confidence comes not from being better than others, but from knowing my purpose and values."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, let my confidence rest in Your guidance, not in fleeting comparisons with others.
