ते तं भुक्त्वा स्वर्गलोकं विशालं क्षीणे पुण्ये मर्त्यलोकं विशन्ति। एवं त्रयीधर्ममनुप्रपन्ना गतागतं कामकामा लभन्ते॥
te taṁ bhuktvā svarga-lokaṁ viśhālaṁ kṣhīṇe puṇye martya-lokaṁ viśhanti evaṁ trayī-dharmam anuprapannā gatāgataṁ kāma-kāmā labhante
Meaning
Having enjoyed the vast heavenly realm, when their merit is exhausted, they return to this mortal world. Thus, following the Vedic rituals, seeking sense pleasures, they attain only the cycle of going and returning.
The critical teaching: even heaven is impermanent. When merit runs out, heavenly beings must return to earth. This cycle of rising and falling continues endlessly for those motivated by desire. Only those seeking the permanent — God Himself — escape this cycle.
