Chapter 9 • Verse 19
तपाम्यहमहं वर्षं निगृह्णाम्युत्सृजामि च। अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च सदसच्चाहमर्जुन॥
tapāmy aham ahaṁ varṣhaṁ nigṛihṇāmy utsṛijāmi cha amṛitaṁ chaiva mṛityuśh cha sad asach chāham arjuna
Meaning
I give heat; I send forth and withhold the rain; I am immortality and also death; I am being and non-being, O Arjuna.
God controls all natural forces — heat and rain, life and death. He is both being (sat) and non-being (asat) — existence and apparent emptiness. Both poles of every duality find their source in Him. There is no force in nature, no aspect of reality, that is separate from the Divine.
Strength Reflection
"I recognize the Divine presence in all natural forces and all aspects of reality."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord of life and death, being and non-being — all reality is Your expression.
